Last Saturday, November 12th, GCSF participated as a candy stop along the CandyLane Adventure at Fireman’s Park to celebrate Germantown’s 2022 Christmas Festival. GCSF volunteers had a blast putting on a ‘Mini Christmas MudSplash Obstacle Course’ for Germantown kids as a precursor and advertisement of the MudSplash coming back in Summer of 2023. The MudSplash had been held in previous years prior to covid as a fundraiser for teacher grants awarded to school district teachers. During the obstacle course kids raced each other to hop on snowflakes, tight-rope walk on a Christmas tree, wade through a blizzard and finally ring a jingle bell at the finish. Kids and parents both had a blast and many said how they are excited for the MudSplash to be brought back this summer.
GCSF also handed out silver Hershey kisses to kids as a reference to our All Star Annual Dinner and Auction 2023 theme that is coming up February 23rd, 2023. Save the date and come join the fun as GCSF helps our students shine!
